NORTHERN LIGHTS, OLDERFJORD NORWAY

It was about 10pm, trying to get some sleep due to being unwell. My roommate comes in and tells me the skies have lit up. Reluctant at first, I decided this was something I need to see and experience.

I certainly wasn’t disappointed.

Olderfjord Tourist Center, would not recommend staying there. But the scenery was nice.

Especially excited when I got my film rolls back. A mix of different exposure times around a guide I dug up on shooting the Northern Lights on film.

A Trip to Svartisen Glacier, Norway.

An earlyish morning start, on the bus to the boat. The boat starts at Svartiskiosken, Råna, Norway. Then about 1 hour up river to another spot, where a 3km hike over rocky terrain takes you to the glacier.

Norway’s second largest glacier, roughly a 3km hike from where we were dropped off from the boat. Covering a span of approximately 370 square km. I hope it sticks around for a while, long enough for a few more generations to experience this natural very old beauty.
