The past 30 even days have been incredible. The places, the photos (all of the photos) and the people. New friends, who I hope to stay in touch with and remember the times shared. It was a wonderful experience, memories and moments. The dad (bad) jokes, drinks, the laughs and incredible TopDeck Crew - 'Sarah' Team Leader extraordinare. And 'Tim' The Man The Myth The Legend of a Bus Driver. I can't speak more highly of their continual enthusiasm, high level of organisation and sense of humour. All of these factors, making for very enjoyable holiday. Go team go! #TopDecker
For navigating around the many towns and cities I used 'CrowsFlight'. A free app that allows the user to preload the map onto a compatible device (I used iOS) and the built-in GPS Receiver. Setting points of interest, it provides an approximate distance as the crow flies, with a handy map mainly suited to walking.
There are others 'CityMapper' which unfortunately I didn't get a chance to try out. Next time. Recommended by Sarah and Tim. Packed with more features. And the ability to download and store maps on your device.
Being an architect and history nerd, I decided most of my photos would follow this direction. Often wandering off looking for a different point of view. Tending to avoid on occasions tourist-packed areas. I suppose with a photo-journalistic approach.
From here, I head back Brisbane Q Australia. Home. My film however will likely be sent to Indie Film Lab in Alabama in the south of North America. The main reasons being the type of services they offer. When I receive my photos back, sorted and start planning for an exhibition some time next year in Brisbane. This will be the official public release of my European Journey.
