Listening to.

Currently to "Close My Eyes" by I Know Leopard.

"Sydney-siders I Know Leopard make celestial, ‘70s inspired pop tunes with an unintentional penchant for pulling heart strings."

Music, sets the mood, lightens the day (or night). Although I myself have never been one to get up and sing or play an instrument (an instrument one day perhaps), I appreciate the talent, the time, the thought, the process and the end result. The journey, the process equally as important as the end result. Much in the same way I like to approach my work.

Art Trade with someone across the sea.

Foraging through Instagram, something caught my eye. An opportunity to trade some of my work with someone else. In this instance, Geneva Lehnert based in Eugene Oregon, USA. After following her wonderful (mostly black and white), very moody and creative moments, I had to take her up on the opportunity. I guess my attention was caught by the tones, the use of natural light, some times a bit of movement.

After exchanging a couple of emails, here's what I have to share ~

From left to right, top to bottom ~ bw monotone sunrays, green thumb, city from above, seagull (winged crusader). All printed on wonderfully thick hahnemühle fine art paper from the wonderful folks Tim & Vanessa at Thirds Fine Art Printing in Melbourne VIC Australia.

I look forward to receiving a handful of her wonderful work :) Credit - @genevalehnert (Instagram)

Mountain Time.

Something a little personal. Today I climbed Mt Tibrogargan. Nestled amongst the Glasshouse Mountains on the glorious Sunshine Coast, Qld Australia.*

From left to right > Tibrogargan, Beerwah, Coonowrin and Ngungun (I think)... Taken a while back on Ektar 100, Canon A1, 50mm

364m in height, a good hike and rock climb combo. 13 years of climbing, including Ngungun, Beerwah, Tibrogargan.

I love being outdoors, the adventure, the danger, the fitness and of course - the view in all directions.

Located off Barrs Road, Glasshouse Mountains. Take the Barrs Road (over the railway tracks) exit off Steve Irwin Way, which is off The Pacific Highway M1 (north or south directions).

If you are considering climbing Mt Tibrogargan or any of the Glasshouse Mountains, check with local Qld Parks and Wildlife Service (here) Sunshine and Fraser Coast region.

*Climbing is extremely dangerous. Always take caution when climbing in any situation.
