So I received some film in the mail...

My wonderful free film sample from ffs.org (film for sale, a Melbourne based store) arrived today!

It includes:

- Kodak Portra 400 (professional skin balanced for low(ish) light portraits)

- Cinestill 800 (tungsten balanced cinematic look for low light

- Kodak Ultramax 400 (consumer action film in colour)

- Kodak Ektar 100 (professional colour film)

- Fuji Superia-Xtra 400 (consumer high speed colour)

- Fuji Natura 1600 (high speed colour film)

I am very much looking forward to shooting and trying these out! Some I've used previously. I'm keen on the cinestill and curious about Fuji 1600. Thinking some night time city or industrial long exposures... Watch this space and see what I come up with.

Free FILM!

Foraging (wasting time) on the Book Face can pay off. Recently I stumbled across a post someone made about buying film cheaply here in Australia. I clicked on the link to a reply made - ffs.org

I enquired about buying some film Ektar and Tri-x 400 my most favourite stocks. After a couple of emails, I decided to think about about and just draft up an email. A day later and Andrew (presumably the bossman) offered me a bag of different films to try. Including developing and scanning. #bonus

I await their delivery and trying of some different film types! Stay posted for what I come up with :)

Head on over to their website for reasonably priced film.

Went out to the woods, today.

Well kind of. Since my exhibition in June, I've been brainstorming ideas. Inspiration - technique. The process or perhaps journey. Then I consider the end result and work backwards. Technical approach with something creative in mind.

Currently working on about 3 ideas. One of which I set out early today.

Stay tuned for what's coming up...
